Sailor Fountain Pen Fude De Mannen

Sailor's Fude De Mannen — a Japanese fountain pen with a bent fude (brush-pen) nib, designed to create the thick-to-thin line variation of a traditional Japanese calligraphy brush in a portable cartridge pen.

Sailor Pen Company was founded in Hiroshima in 1911 and is one of Japan's three great fountain pen makers (alongside Pilot and Platinum). The Fude De Mannen (筆で万年 — "a brush for ten thousand years") is one of the company's most distinctive products: the steel nib is bent up so the angle you hold the pen at controls the line width. Tilt forward and get a hairline; lay it flat and get a bold sweeping stroke.
