These knickknack chopstick rests (hashioki) bring a small seasonal touch to the table: mushrooms and chestnuts, the quiet signatures of a Japanese autumn. Each is finished by a craftsperson and comes in two surfaces — a bright glossy glaze and a softer matte (kara-yaki) finish — which can be mixed and matched across a place setting.
