Hasami Ware Sake Set – Moon-Viewing Rabbit (Tsukimi Usagi)

A Hasami-ware sake set — one tokkuri flask and two cups — decorated with little moon-viewing rabbits, and presented in its own gift box.

Nanpu is an Arita-based ceramics manufacturer in Saga prefecture (Kyushu). This set draws on tsukimi — the Japanese autumn tradition of moon-viewing — and its companion folklore of the rabbit who lives on the moon. The little rabbits make it a warm set for slow autumn evenings, and a popular gift. Pour warm or cold sake from the tokkuri into the matching pair of cups.
