Toujudo Kiln (陶寿堂) is a working Kutani kiln in Nomi City, Ishikawa prefecture. Yamakairau (山帰来 / さるとりいばら — smilax) is a Japanese vine traditionally associated with healing and homecoming — its name literally means "the vine that brings you back from the mountain." Painted here in Kutani's five-colour overglaze with bright red berries.
