A 100-sheet ruled A5 notebook from LIFE — a Tokyo-based stationery maker that has been producing fountain-pen-friendly notebooks since 1949. The Noble Note line is the one fountain-pen writers reach for.

LIFE Co., Ltd. opened in Tokyo in 1949 and makes some of Japan's best-loved writing paper. The Noble Note paper is fine, smooth and faintly cream-coloured, with very little bleed-through or feathering — the kind of paper where a fountain pen lays down dark, even lines and a gel pen doesn't drag. The cover is heavy paper in a restrained brown-and-cream design. 200 pages total (100 sheets).
