Tombow Air Press Ballpoint Pen

Tombow's Air Press — a pressurised-ink Japanese ballpoint that writes at any angle, including upside down, in wet conditions, or against gravity.

Tombow Pencil Co. was founded in Tokyo in 1913 and is one of Japan's foundational stationery brands. The Air Press uses a pressurised-ink mechanism similar to Fisher's Space Pen — a small air piston builds pressure each time the pen is clicked, pushing ink to the tip even when the cartridge is upside down or the paper is damp. Useful for field notes, travel journals, or working at odd angles.
