Ujinotsuyu Sencha Japanese Tea Bag

Ujinotsuyu (宇治の露) is a Japanese tea house based in Uji, Kyoto — the region considered the source of Japan's finest green tea. Their everyday sencha is the bag format of their standard loose leaf: balanced umami, mild bitterness, and that fresh-grass aroma that defines a properly brewed sencha. Each bag is sealed in an aluminium envelope to preserve the aroma until you brew.

How to brew

• 1 bag in a 200ml cup of 70–80°C water for 30–60 seconds. Don't use boiling water — it scalds green tea
• For cold brew: 1–2 bags in 500ml cold water in the fridge for 2–3 hours
